Get Involved
We have received several offers of help for minor jobs and tasks. Can we emphasise that everyone of any ability is welcome. For the Spooktacular Show we need stewards to direct the audience to their seats and helpers for the Black Hole experience, if you are free on 30th October then let us know, at least you will see a great show free of charge. At other events we always need stewards for car parking and general selling of tickets and programmes etc
Like most successful events, we rely heavily on volunteers to make
our events successful. We also need volunteers to work behind the
scenes prior to our events. Listed below are some of the areas in
which we are looking for help:
Administration:
Have you got spare time and computer skills? We have several tasks
such as database creation, CAD, basic office skills such as record
keeping and filing that we need help with. Please contact Ron
if you have skills in these areas.
Leaflet Distribution:
Can you spare 2 hours to distribute leaflets around the shops and
businesses in Ruthin? or 4 hours to distribute leaflets to houses in
Ruthin? If so please contact Ron
Event Management:
Help will always be appreciated in simple tasks such as
telephoning potential sponsors and clients or cold selling. Contact Ron
if you're up for the job.
Specific Events:
Under each event tab on the menu is a separate volunteers page listing
the kind of people we need for that specific event. Please get in
touch if there is something you'd like to get involved with.
What's in it for me?
Good question! Obviously we don't expect all volunteers to be out of
pocket, so we have a range of incentives depending on the tasks you
are undertaking.
NB Certain tasks involve working with children, and therefore for
those particular jobs we can only recruit volunteers who are CRB
checked.
