1st International Antiques and Collectables Trail, Ruthin, North Wales. July 14th & 15th


Set in the beautiful vale of Clwyd the historic market town of Ruthin will stage a unique antique and collectables trail This multi-venue event is the first of its kind in the UK, taking in stunning historic buildings, including Wales’ oldest timbered town house and the town’s former gaol, now a popular tourist attraction.

The venues for the trail will be:

One of the most impressive buildings in North Wales, there has been a prison on this site since the 17th century.

It is the only purpose-built Pentonville style prison open to the public as a heritage attraction.

Visitors can learn about the harsh realities of life in the Victorian prison system and are able to explore the cells including the punishment, 'dark', and condemned cell. Stallholders will be based in the courtyard and arena of this atmospheric tourist attraction.



Wales’ oldest timbered town house:

Dating back to 1435, Nantclwyd y Dre has been painstakingly restored to show seven ages of life at the town house,from its earliest days right through to World War II. Stall holders will be in a marquee in the beautiful walled garden.




Based in Ruthin Town Hall, this beautiful hall is ideally suited for the trail.



Situated in the town centre this quaint shop offers everything from a button to a bath chair.


Disability access
for visitors at all trail locations except Corner Post Antique Shop.

All venues are close to shops, cafes and ideally situated for the town’s bus stops and car parks.
